JULY / AUGUST

At Kareela on 16 May sixteen members teed off for the 2^nd round of the Club Championship and the day’s individual par event.

Les Woodley(14) won on a count back with +1 from Greg Priestley(20). Bad luck Greg. The Guzzlers Mug was won by Ray Dunston and both nearest the pin on the 8^th and 12^th by Peter Dononhue---
any witnesses?? Was he in the last group??

 We could not have asked for a better mild winter’s day when we arrived at Calderwood Valley on 20 June. After a BBQ and a few beers, twenty four of us attacked the course in the day’s individual stroke event and also the 3^rd round of the Club Championship.

The victor was again Les Woodley (14) with a net 67. Another good win Les, but I’m told the handicapper has already picked up the pen. Runner up was Ken Wood (13) with a net 69. Another one in the handicapper’s sight, I hope. Ken won on a count back from Roo Gibson (18) who picked up the Guzzlers Mug. Ken also won the nearest the pin on the 4^th with Ryan De Witt (14) the closest on the 13^th.
